ranald's rest highland hostel

Many a good night has been had at Ranald's Rest Hostel near Fort William. On the bank of Loch Lochy near Spean Bridge you are sure to have a great time here. Loch Lochy is one of the four lochs in the great glen. Loch Linnhe, Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and Loch Ness. Graham build Ranald's Rest on his family farm.

The guide buy a few bags of logs using the kitty money so you can have a camp fire outside and enjoy the stars! There is also a good walk into some mature forest above the hostel. Ranald's Rest is usually private to Wild in Scotland so we can do our own thing.

There are 3 dorms of 6 and one twin/double if you prefer. Do request a private room at the time of booking. Subject to availability. Each room has an en-suite shower room.

There is a good kitchen and a nice little sitting/dining room to chat to other travellers on our tour.
